The King's road

Opened in 1737, Canada’s first road was named «chemin du Roy» (King’s road)»   To build it, the french had to contend with hills, swamps and rivers. Today we can see that this road greatly helped the development and expansion of the country. 

There are a lot of reminders along the road to help us think back to how it was when the «chemin du Roy» was in its infancy
